Description
The hydrometer is a measurer of the sugar content of a wine or beer.
Use: Slowly drain the hydrometer and wait until it stays loose. Only then can you set the hydrometer value. The white part of the hydrometer is marked with a + sign and a black part mark. If, for example, the wine has fermented it, it is 5 and it seems that it is too dry to add sugar to the wine. In excess of 1 liter of fluid, 2.5 g sugar the hydrometer reading increases by one step. Wishing that the wintry of the 5th would be sweeter and the hydrometer reading at + 5 add 25 grams of sugar to 1 liter.
Sugar can only be added if you have been using a recipe for making wine that does not let the wine ferment more.
The alcohol content is measured as follows: For example, the sugar content of red wine prior to fermentation is +80, after fermentation -5. The alcohol content of the formula is 85: 7.5 = 11.33%
