Description
Okra, also known as musk hibiscus, is an exotic vegetable of African origin. Widely used in the preparation of Indian, African, Creole dishes.
Slightly bitter-sour, fine and piquant taste, suitable as a side dish with meat or fish, also in soups, woks, suitable for grilling, boiling, stewing, steaming. Okra goes particularly well with tomato.
In Creole cuisine, okra is used for example in the well-known dish chicken-okra gumbo.
