Description
Sambal chilli, a staple in Indonesian cuisine, provides the spicy, exotic flavour to the Mee Goreng (fried noodles) which is one of the most popular dishes in Indonesia.
No Added MSG, Preservatives Or Artificial Colours.
Indonesian Mee Goreng (Serves 3):
Ingredients:
1 packet Indonesian Mee Goreng Spice Paste
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 large onion, sliced
250g (1/2 lb) seafood
150g (5 oz) dried egg noodles or Hokkien Noodles (to soften the noodles, follow the pack instructions)
2 tomatoes, quartered
1-2 eggs (beaten)
Lettuces as garnish
Cooking Instructions:
1. Heat oil in non-stick wok or pan on medium-high heat. Add onion and seafood, stir-fry for 2 minutes
2. Add noodles and spice paste. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Push mixture to one side of wok
3. Add eggs and cook for 1 minute and stir into noodles. Add tomatoes and stir-fry for another minute
Cooking Tips: Minced chicken, lamb or beef may be used instead of seafood. Dried rice noodles may be used instead of egg noodles or Hokkien noodles
