Description
Sago seed is like a natural thickener. It is a starch-like substance obtained from the shoots of Sago palms (Metroxylon sag).
Sago is produced as both flour and “pearls” that can be boiled with either water or milk to make, for example, sago pudding or other dishes/desserts that require thickening.
Sago pearls are very close to tapioca pearls and the two can be used interchangeably.
