Maltodextrin is an easily digestable substance produced from starch that quickly absorbs glucose, carries well aromas and flavours, has mildly sweet or mild taste. It is widely used by athletes, added into energy drinks and used in the manufacture of beer etc.
Maltodextrin is used as a thickening agent, for binding fats into a powder or gel, in artificial sweeteners, etc.
Usage: mix maltodextrin with the desired fat, and the gel or powder forms (which can also be shaped, baked, stored at room temperature for about 1 day, in refrigerator longer).
Dosage: The amount depends on which fats and how strongly it is desired to thicken, mostly in the range of 30-45%, for fatty pulp 45-60%.
Ingredients: maltodextrin (corn).
