Description
Ajwain (carom) seed belongs to the same family as parsley and cumin.
Ajwain has a bitter and slightly spicy flavour, that is similar to thyme.
Ajwain seeds are used in curries, lentil dishes, naan bread, fish, marinades, snacks etc.
Usage:
Usually dry-roasted or fried in ghee before use. This brings out the flavours of the seed.
